Sivananda Home

The Society is managing two Sivananda Homes for needy children being governed by the Board of Trustees, Sivananda Home. The first is a girls only Home at Kuala Kubu Bharu (Rumah Kanak-Kanak KKB) fully managed by DLS Kuala Kubu Bharu Sub-Branch The second is a boys only Home at Batu Caves. The Homes have formed various sub-committees to look into the following needs of the Home: Intake & Counselling, Education, Medical & Nutrition, Sports & Recreation, Maintenance & Cleaning, Spiritual, Information & Media, Safety & Security.

The Home aims is to nurture and guide destitute children, orphans, children of poor single parents, poor children from broken homes and other deserving children to become socially well adjusted, spiritually inclined, morally righteous, self-confident and useful citizens of the country.

The children were seen to have all-round improvement in the children’s education, attitude, character and religious activities. The Home is manned by full time staff and assisted by volunteers. The Home employs an Administrator, Cook, Warden and General Worker.

The orphanage will provide a safe and secure environment with adequate facilities and qualified personnel for the development of the mental, physical, emotional, health and well-being of the children. The children will be inculcated with a belief in God and the importance of moral and spiritual values and the acquisition of knowledge and skills to secure a productive and self- sufficient role in Society.
